Unboxing Live 034: Mio Moov 310 GPS

The thing about devices nowadays is that they all pretty much do the same thing. They point you in the direction that you want to go (usually.) So, any small differentiators they can provide will normally be what sells the device, if it isn’t selling on brand name alone. In this episode, we unbox the Mio Moov 310 GPS unit. What is Mio doing to make this device stand out from the crowd? Well, for starters, the Moov 310 includes one year of real-time traffic updates - something you typically need to pay an extra subscription fee for on other GPS units. Also, it costs $249.00, and can be found online for even less.

Of course, there’s more to it than that. Check out the video above for the full unboxing of the Mio Moov 310.

I’ve always thought gps devices were cool, but never thought I would need one personally. Instead of a stand alone gps that only does one task, why not get an Iphone in about two weeks and get a bucket load more stuff to play with.

My sister was just thinking of getting a Mio, thanks for a write up on that!  The one year of free updates definitely makes it worth the purchase.

oo thats a sweet little device there!  Real-time traffic alerts would be very helpful for the drive to and from work, and its even better that you get a year free!  I don’t know why anyone would buy a built-in GPS system into their car when they can buy smaller devices like these and just mount them for a fraction of the price

Wow, wondering how these and other GPS will make it through, once the new cut-price IPhone makes its mid year splash…
