The Xbox 360 Messenger Kit has been hyped for months now, and it finally hits stores on September 4, 2007. The Kit includes the much anticipated Xbox 360 Chatpad - a QWERTY keyboard accessory that snaps onto an Xbox 360 controller - along with a newly redesigned Xbox 360 headset. The new headset features a simple audio connector, with the mute and volume switch located on the wire itself - much more user friendly, and it looks better too. If you are tired of all the mundane typing that it takes to enter redeemable codes or to write quick messages to friends on the Xbox 360, this is definitely one to consider. We were able to get our hands on a Messenger Kit pre-launch, and have put up an Unboxing gallery giving you a look at both pieces of the package.

the consoles need to just allow uses of USB key bords and mice allready. certain games just play better with key bord and mouse (FPS for starters) and theres realy no reason they couldnt make it work. why would i want to type a message out on a key pad the size of a blackberry’s when it could just as easily be done with a key board.

Just buy a computer. All 360 games are available on the computer anyway. Save your 360 money for a Wii or PS3 which get unique games.

Yeah, sure. Buy a computer. It’s great to spend $2,000 instead of $350. And then you get to upgrade every few months to play the games. Fun stuff!

“Buy a pc”
For those of us with our own homes and living rooms with couches and big screen HDTV’s, the console works nicely.......

Interesting, we’ll probabably pick one of these up, though we did just donate an older Wireless keyboard to our 360 (which works great BTW).

i hate all these “usb keyboard and mice” ppl, and the “just get a computer” ppl, its just annoying, computer gamers just need help, not to mention games for windows is putting most of there games now threw live so xbox can play with pc, and the guy who said fps’s are better with a keyboard need to jump off a cliff, i have both a computer and an xbox and i prefer my xbox over ne thing, and i love this keyboard cuz its a good way to keep in contact with my friends who are on messanger but not on xbl, im just waiting for the halo 3 version to come out with the launch of the xbox 360 which im getting, i can’t wait, i love the xbox xo much im getting a 2nd one, well, this is a good accesorie and its cheep and something to have if u are an “IMer” on the xbox like me… i love to play and chat.... does ne one know if u can do a phone call over live? from pc to xbox, i havn’t tried just something that came to mind, thats all from me

nice, now just to find a google checkout deal on this somewhere like I did with the last uber nerdy peripheral.
I’m probably going to have to pick one of these up. hopefully it works good.. but then again it is so small, you don’t just use your thumbs for qwerty.
