Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3 unboxing gallery

A few months ago, Panasonic released the amazing Lumix DMC-ZS3 digital camera, and we immediately took notice. After all, a point-and-shoot that features 10.1 megapixels, a 25mm ultra-wide-angle lens, and an astounding 12x optical zoom was certainly something that commanded attention. The camera also boasts a Leica DC Vario-Elmar lens and records high definition 720p video in AVCHD Lite format, at 60 frames per second no less. We were finally able to get our hands on one now that the Lumix ZS3 isn’t constantly sold out everywhere we turn, and we’ve put together a gallery of Panasonic Lumix ZS3 unboxing images to show off the camera itself. MacBook Pro 2009 unboxing gallery

At WWDC 2009, aside from introducing the world to the iPhone 3G S, Apple also introduced a newly redesigned MacBook Pro. The MacBook Pro 2009 revision does away with the removable battery, but replaces it with a battery that lasts up to 7 hours. Oh, and we mean a real 7 hours, we’ve tested it. Also, the ExpressCard slot has been removed, and in its place we now have an SD card slot. The MacBook Pro will even boot off of an SD card if you tell it to.

We’ve been playing with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3 for a few days, and can’t deny how impressed we are. While we work on our Lumix LX3 review, we figured we’d hit you guys up with a quick Lumix LX3 unboxing gallery of the device. We’ve snapped a good 16 images showing you the Lumix LX3, along with everything else that’s included in the box. Our only regret? That we couldn’t use the Lumix LX3 to shoot the unboxing of itself. It’s that good.

Nintendo DSi unboxing gallery

We know you guys have been waiting for it, so here we are with our Nintendo DSi unboxing gallery. In case you haven’t heard, the Nintendo DSi is the company’s follow-up to the standard Nintendo DS. It does away with the GameBoy cartridge slot, so it is thinner, and it also features two camera on the device, one facing the player and one facing away from the player, on the outside of the unit. The cameras open up new gaming possibilities, as does the much expanded storage. The DSi features the DSi Shop, which connects to the Internet in a similar fashion to the Wii Shop, and allows you to download games in exchange for Points. Pantech Matrix Pro unboxing gallery

We were able to spend some quality time with the latest dual slider Windows Mobile smartphone from AT&T, that being the Pantech Matrix Pro. If you are unfamiliar with dual slider phones, what this means is that if you slide the phone vertically, you get a number pad—but if you turn it horizontally and slide up, you get a QWERTY keyboard. Very slick. The Pantech Matrix Pro runs Windows Mobile 6.1, and is Video Share capable, which means you can beam video to and from the phone to other handsets, a feature that we think is the hotness, along with turn-by-turn navigation via aGPS. We will be doing more with the Matrix Pro, but for now, we’ve put together a nice Pantech Matrix Pro unboxing gallery, featuring 31 images of the new smartphone.

Amazon Kindle 2 unboxing gallery

It’s a happy day here at Gear Live HQ, what with the arrival of both the Amazon Kindle 2 and Resident Evil 5, thanks to UPS. We figured we’d tear right in to the Kindle 2 upon arrival so that we could bring you another unboxing gallery full of e-book reader goodness, and we think we succeeded. Kodak Zi6 HD Pocket Video Camera unboxing gallery

Continuing our look at pocket HD camcorders, we were able to get our hands on a new Kodak Zi6 Pocket Video Camera, which shoots in 720p high definition, at a full 60 frames per second. In case you were wondering, that’s unique for ultra-portable HD camcorders. There isn’t much storage space on-board, but that is rectified by the SD card slot, which supports up for a 32 GB SD card. The Kodak Zi6 also includes an SD AV cable, as well as an HD cable, allowing you to plug the camera directly into an HDTV to view the content on it. It takes two AA batteries, and they throw in two rechargeable AAs, as well a charger. We’ve taken a bunch of images of the device, which you can find in our Kodak Zi6 gallery. Creative Vado HD camcorder unboxing gallery

When it comes to the handheld camcorder market, there are a few key players. Of course, there are the Flip cameras that everyone knows and loves, but more recently these cameras have started to sport high definition recording features. While the Flip Mino HD is out there, we’ve also got the Kodak Zi6, as well as the Creative Vado HD. In this particular unboxing gallery, we give you a closer look at the Creative Vado HD. As you’ll see, aside from the camera, which has an integrated USB stick for transferring videos to your computer, it also includes a rubber case, and even a USB extender cable, which is a very welcome addition. Beats by Dr. Dre Tour earbuds unboxing gallery

So, by now you know we are big fans of the Beats by Dr. Dre headphones, as we’ve talked about them quite extensively. The over-the-ear cans are just very good, and we also appreciate the look. Up next for the line, though, are the Beats Tour edition. The difference? While the Beats Studio headphones went over the ear, the Beats Tour headphones are actually earbuds, meant to go in your ear (obviously.) We’ve got a pair of the new Beats Tour headphones here, and we are putting them to the test. We’ll hit you with a review in a bit, but for now, we’ve snapped a bunch of photos to show them off. T-Mobile G1 unboxing gallery

We’re in the midst of getting our T-Mobile G1 reviewed, but in the meantime, we wanted to show off the looks and unboxing experience of the phone. Obviously, the G1 is the first publicly available phone that is based on the Google Android platform, and if you are on T-Mobile, we think it’s the phone to have. This is obviously T-Mobile’s answer to the iPhone, and it’s good to see that other companies are trying to innovate and catch up, with the aim of putting out great phones. With Android, the G1 software is even more open than that of the iPhone OS. We’ll get into all that in our review of the phone, but for now enjoy the shots in our T-Mobile G1 unboxing gallery.
