In this episode we open up the Nest Learning Thermostat. If you are unfamiliar, check out our video demo of Nest. Nest aims to manage the heating and cooling in your house by learning your usage patterns alongside built-in motion sensors that are used to tell when you are and aren't home. You can control Nest directly from the unit, as well as from anywhere that you have an Internet connection through the browser. It also has smartphone apps that allow you to control it directly from your mobile device. The more you interact with Nest, the more it learns about your preferences, and it will continually tune itself to your preferences and schedule. We got our hands on the Kinect sensor for Xbox 360 a day before launch, and we've been putting the motion gaming peripheral through its paces for the past five days now in preparation for our Kinect review. It'll be up later today, but in the meantime, we figured we'd share some unboxing shots of the Kinect unit. It's deceptively larger than it appears to be in product shots--it's a substantial piece of technology. Microsoft announced the new Xbox 360 S last week at E3, and we were able to get our hands on one soon after to give you a look at all the goodness. As a refresher, the newly redesigned Xbox 360 is 35% thinner than the original, and features a glossy black exterior. It ships with a 250GB hard drive that’s been redesigned to fit into the new shape of the console, and it drops the memory card slots. Even better, it comes with built-in 802.11g/n Wi-Fi, so there is no need for any sort of external dongle accessory anymore. Hit the video for all the rest, but just know that you can pick up the new Xbox 360 now for $299.

We know you guys have been waiting for it, so here we are with our Nintendo DSi unboxing gallery. In case you haven’t heard, the Nintendo DSi is the company’s follow-up to the standard Nintendo DS. It does away with the GameBoy cartridge slot, so it is thinner, and it also features two camera on the device, one facing the player and one facing away from the player, on the outside of the unit. The cameras open up new gaming possibilities, as does the much expanded storage. The DSi features the DSi Shop, which connects to the Internet in a similar fashion to the Wii Shop, and allows you to download games in exchange for Points.
